CHESTER :: ARCTIC MONKEYS TRIBUTE NIGHT

From the release of the Arctic Monkeys first album, ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’, the phenomenon soon swept the UK. Four guys from Wolverhampton realised the Arctic Monkeys would become an arena band and not play smaller venues.

Formed from a jamming session, The Antarctic Monkeys took a big chance in which they became a phenomenon in their own right, travelling the UK, playing venues armed only with one album of material.

The success has continued and now armed with a setlist of almost 30 songs, the demand for the Antarctic Monkeys is ever growing with tours booked up Nationwide and Europe.

CHESTER :: OASIS v ROSES

Well, OASIS are no more. The back stage bust ups and public slanging matches on Twitter proved too much for this great British band.

Thankfully, their No1 Tribute- DEFINITELY MIGHTBE (now in their twelfth year) don’t share the same sibling rivalry as the real thing, but they do have a lot in common when it comes to reproducing the rousing anthems, stage presence and atmosphere that the originals created. With over two hours of material to draw from, including all the hit’s from all seven albums, live favourites, B-sides and a couple of Noel’s acoustic number’s, when the boys start there’s no stopping them. And who wants to stop when everybody’s having a good time? As one pleased punter said after Definitely Mightbe played a gig 200 miles away, “I’m going to see the real Oasis in Manchester later this year and if they are half as good as you guys, I’m in for a bloody good night!”

So, as good as the real thing? Well they…..DEFINITELY MIGHTBE

The Stone Roses opened 1989 with their eponymous classic The Stone Roses. A jangly guitar based album which stands the test of time better than most bands of that era. Topping the NME’s list of Greatest Album Of All Time. Singer Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary Mountfield (a.k.a.Mani) and drummer Alan Wren (a.k.a.Reni) were the gifted line up that delivered that album. This band revolutionised British pop. Seizing the moment in the post acid house fall out as they first took Manchester and then the UK, on a swift, swaggering pop adventure that promised so much and yet ultimately burned out, such was their purity of vision. Their songs adorn many a student disco to this day and are still held in high regard more than 10yrs since they disbanded. – ADORED-their definitive tribute,reproduce the sound and atmosphere the originals created with such detailed accuracy,you’d think the Roses had climbed on stage beside them! All the cult classics are here from both studio albums including singles”Waterfall” and “She Bangs The Drums”to the rock out anthem of “I Am The Ressurection”

CHESTER :: KASABIAN TRIBUTE NIGHT

Kazabian are the premier Tribute Band to the Multi Award Winning Kasabian…

Since the tribute was formed, Kazabian have toured the UK & Europe extensively playing shows with Ollie Murs, The Noisettes, Pendulum and The Pigeon Detectives.

Kasabian are a huge stadium / festival band, and their tribute seem no different in their field, voted “Best Tribute” @ Tribfest and performing in front of 40,000 fans at Liverpool’s Mathew Street Festival, they are also on the UK’s Fake Festival Tour, featuring the best tributes around.

Performing at packed out Venues, Universities and Festivals coupled with looking, sounding and performing like Kasabian, they have often been mistaken for the real thing which could be the reason behind a live Kazabian performance of “LSF” being aired on NME TV. Kazabian have a huge set consisting of tracks from the selt titled debut album “Kasabian”, “Empire”, the critically acclaimed “West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum”, and the phenomenal latest offering “Velociraptor!” which soared to number 1 in the album charts confirming a hat trick of straight number 1 albums for the Leicester lads.

B Sides & Special Live Tracks are often used live, Kazabian’s set is constantly being updated to shadow what Kasabian do live. From Clubfoot to Empire through to Fire and Days are Forgotten, crowd reactions are often euphoric. Kazabian have quickly established themselves as one of the most accurate tribute acts in the world, delivering a highly authentic and convincing Kasabian experience.

Q Magazine has an interview with Kasabian in which the band talk about their future plans and then appear to be slightly anxious about Kazabian’s progress as they seem to have more gigs lined up than they do… and in the Observer, celebrated music journalist Paul Morley poses the question “Would Kazabian mislead fans into believing the actual group were playing….”

CHESTER :: JOY DIVISION TRIBUTE NIGHT

Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era. Joy Division were formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in May 1980 after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis.

The remaining members went on to form New Order and have achieved much critical and commercial success. The influence of Joy Division, however, was far reaching. They were considered the pioneering band of the post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. More than 20 years on you can still relive the dark cavernous sound of Joy Division through Transmission one of the leading UK tribute bands.
